OABF’s Hon Rep, Rod Goodier, tells us about his first-hand experience of the Indonesian Confrontation (1963-1966), during his time serving in the RAF.

Thursday 6 June 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day. We hear from an OA Hon Rep whose father played a role in the successful allied invasion of the beaches of Normandy.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Everyone at the Officers’ Association Benevolent Fund (OABF). So, we say farewell to 2023 and what a significant year it has been for the OABF.  The beginnings of a brand new chapter and one that returns the OABF to its founding principle.

Earlier this year we commissioned a historian to research the history of the Officers’ Association. From its founding in February 1920 to the OABF that we know and love today, the evolution of the organisation has been traced in the context of UK military history across the past 100+ years.
