An Exciting Next Chapter for the Officers’ Association (OABF)

You’ll see from our new look website that there are some important changes happening at the OABF.  We are focusing all our efforts on supporting former officers, their families and dependents through our dedicated grants and welfare team.  We are also opening up to new beneficiaries through our Cost of Living Grant, which aims to provide financial assistance to those who need it most, through these challenging times.

This October saw the formal launch of RFEA The Forces Employment Charity, which combines the Officers’ Association’s (OABF’s) employment services with the Regular Forces Employment Agency (REFA).  You can find out more about RFEA The Forces Employment Charity here.

The OABF’s Services

The OABF will now specialise in providing life-long advice and support to relieve hardship amongst officers who have held a commission in the Armed Forces, along with their families and dependents.  The OABF’s grants and welfare team is at the heart of the organisation and we will continue to work with military charities and government agencies to access grants for those who need them most.

New Cost of Living Grant

In response to the challenging times that we are all facing, the OABF has launched a new Cost of Living Grant.  Its aim is to provide financial support for individuals and their dependents to meet the rising costs of food, utility bills, rent and transport.

In order to get the right support to the people who need it most, we will carry out assessments and eligibility checks to identify the best help for you and your dependents, with a one-off grant of up to £500.
